About Me

Catheryn of Albany
Welcome to my BlogSpot! May you gain as much pleasure from perusing these images as I do capturing them. I've been passionately taking photos ever since my great-grandmother gave me her camera when I was a child. I love how images hold a fleeting moment in time we can then savour for generations to come...a blushing bride in a cloud of satin and chiffon, the trusting fingers of a newborn resting in his daddy’s strong hand, a chubby toddler dripping with summer’s first ice-cream, a blazing sun melting into the horizon or a stony path winding through a tangled jungle beckoning us to a thrilling adventure. We also become more aware of the minutiae in life– glistening dew on early morning buds, pebbles on a beach, ripples on a pond, coloured scarves gently billowing on a dress-rack…We’re inspired to see the beauty in the everyday aspects in life. Pictures tell stories which have the power to impact us in an array of different ways. They can be emotive bringing tears of joy or sorrow; they can inform and delight, challenge and motivate. I look forward to sharing some of my "captured moments" with you. Enjoy!
